Get clear insights on the science, chamber options, and real-world ownership before bringing hyperbaric oxygen therapy to your home, practice, or clinic.

Hyperbaric Basics

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)?

You breathe high-purity oxygen inside a sealed chamber that's pressurised above normal atmospheric pressure. The pressure lets far more oxygen dissolve into your blood plasma than you could absorb breathing normally — so it reaches tissue throughout the body.

What does "ATA" mean, and how much pressure is that?

ATA stands for Atmospheres Absolute. 1 ATA is the pressure at sea level. Oxify hard-shell chambers reach a true 2.0 ATA — the pressure most hyperbaric research protocols are built on.

Why run at 2.0 ATA — wouldn't higher be better?

2.0 ATA delivers the benefit with an excellent safety margin. Going higher adds risk without a meaningful gain for wellness use, which is why 2.0 ATA is the standard for at-home and clinic settings.

Why breathe through a mask instead of filling the whole chamber with oxygen?

The cabin is pressurised with air while you breathe concentrated oxygen through a mask or cannula. Keeping the enclosed space at normal oxygen levels is a deliberate safety choice — it avoids an oxygen-rich sealed environment.

What are "air breaks" and the built-in protocols?

Sessions alternate between breathing oxygen and breathing normal air. Those cycles are part of the protocol, and the chamber's upgraded LCD guides you through them so you don't have to track anything yourself.

Are the Nova chambers configurable?

Yes — the Nova series is fully configurable in the online configurator: 8 vinyl flooring options, 4 interior colours, and 8 electric airline seat options plus a custom colour — with the optional Professional BIBS system.

Results & Safety

What is HBOT used for?

Oxify chambers are wellness and recovery devices. People use them for recovery, performance, energy and general wellbeing, and the field is actively researched for much more. They are not medical devices and don't diagnose or treat disease — for a specific condition, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

How many sessions will I need, and how long is each?

Most sessions run about 60–90 minutes. How often you go is up to your goals and routine; many owners do a concentrated series up front and then lighter maintenance sessions.

What does a session feel like?

Relaxed. You recline, read, rest or work while you breathe. During pressurisation you may feel a gentle fullness in your ears — similar to an aeroplane taking off — that clears quickly.

Is it safe?

Hyperbaric therapy at 2.0 ATA is widely regarded as very safe. The air-pressurised, breathe-through-a-mask design avoids the flammability concerns of oxygen-filled environments, and the chamber depressurises gently and predictably.

Are there side effects?

Any effects are usually mild and temporary — most commonly ear pressure during compression, and occasionally light fatigue. If anything feels off, you end the session and the chamber returns to normal pressure.

Is there anyone who shouldn't use it?

An untreated collapsed lung (pneumothorax) is the one absolute contraindication. If you have a heart, lung or other significant condition, are pregnant, or are under ongoing medical care, get clearance from your healthcare provider first.

Do I need a prescription to buy one?

No — Oxify chambers are sold as wellness devices and don't require a prescription. If you have a diagnosed medical condition, we still recommend a conversation with your provider before starting.

How loud are Oxify chambers, and can I relax or sleep during a session?

They run at a low, steady ambient hum, similar to other home wellness equipment — quiet enough to relax, read or rest. Levels vary slightly by model but are generally unobtrusive.

Choosing a Chamber

Which Oxify chamber is right for me?

It comes down to how many people use it, your space, and the setting. The Forge is a single-person hard-shell sitting chamber; the Nova series (Duo, Duo Pro, Quad) seats two to four; and lie-down models suit those who prefer to recline fully. Tell us your space and goals and we'll match you.

Hard-shell or soft-shell — does it matter?

Yes. Hard-shell chambers reach a true 2.0 ATA, where most research sits. Soft-shell chambers run at a lower pressure and need considerably longer sessions to approach a similar oxygen dose.

Do I need the BIBS upgrade?

The Professional BIBS (Breathe-In Breathing System) is optional. It delivers inhale-activated oxygen and vents your exhalation outside the chamber, with per-seat concentrators. It's a refinement rather than a requirement — the standard configuration already delivers a full session.

How are Oxify chambers built and certified?

Oxify hard-shell chambers are built from aerospace-grade steel and tempered glass, and manufactured to ASME and ISO 13485 standards for pressure-vessel construction and quality management.

Can I customise my chamber?

Yes. You can choose the vinyl flooring, interior colour and seating — including Airline and Premium First Class seats in all-black or custom colours, with options like an integrated tray and massage. Your specialist walks you through the full configuration.

Space & Delivery

How much space does a chamber need?

Plan for the chamber's footprint plus comfortable room to enter and for airflow around it. Share your room dimensions with your specialist and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Will it fit through my door?

Most chambers clear a standard doorway, and our delivery team plans access in advance. For tighter spaces we'll advise on the best route before the truck arrives.

What electrical do I need?

Chambers run on standard household power, with dedicated circuits depending on the model and whether you add the BIBS system. We provide the exact electrical requirements for your configuration ahead of delivery.

How do delivery and installation work?

Every Oxify ships with free white-glove delivery — our team handles placement in the final location, setup and a walkthrough, plus remote training so you're confident from day one.

How long is the lead time?

Chambers are built to order and typically ship in about 6-8 weeks. Your specialist confirms the timeline for your specific model and configuration.

What happens if the power goes out mid-session?

Nothing dramatic. The chamber depressurises slowly and safely through a release valve — there's no sudden change in pressure.

What power source is required, and do I need special electrical upgrades?

Most Oxify chambers run on standard household outlets (110–120V), so no special electrical upgrades are needed in most homes. Larger and clinical models may need more — exact requirements are on each product page.

Ownership & Pricing

How much does a chamber cost?

Pricing depends on the model and configuration — the Nova Duo, for example, starts at $68,999. Request a tailored quote and we'll price your exact build.

Is financing available?

Yes. For personal financing, we offer Affirm and Shop Pay (up to $30,000 of the total invoice). For business financing, we can finance as much as needed through our partner Ronin Financial Group — apply here, or contact us for details.

What's included?

Every Oxify chamber comes with white-glove delivery, red light therapy, a protocol book, the all-in-one machine, an air-conditioning unit, and a 5-year warranty. Other details vary by model — check the product page or ask your specialist for the exact package.

Are there ongoing costs — do I have to buy oxygen?

No oxygen tanks. A built-in oxygen concentrator generates it on demand, so the only recurring costs are electricity and the occasional air-filter change.

What training and support are included?

Remote training is included with delivery, and every owner gets our 24/7 support line. If you're running sessions in a practice, we can help with the details too.

Can I offer hyperbaric therapy in my clinic or business?

Yes — many owners do. Reach out and we'll help you plan the right chamber, layout and support for a professional setting.

Still have a question?

Talk to a human. Our specialists help you choose the right chamber and handle everything end to end.
